This Vuelta ends with a fart in a wet paper bag, as we say, no? Tank's empty for pretty much everybody. It's been a good three weeks though... a Kuss-fairy-tale-scnario almost repeated.

He won the Vuelta a Burgos (2.HC) in mid-August, so his form was excellent going into the Vuelta. It's my opinion that Sepp thrives as wingman, as we saw last year's Tour and Vuelta, more vulnerable when he's the sole cap'tn.

It's the same race yes, but switching name sponsor every two or three years, which makes it confusing for the casual follower. It's also been known as the Binck Bank Tour. You don't see top races change name often. The E3-Prijs partly did so, for commercial reasons too (E3 Saxo Classic).

With the Vuelta asking -and getting- all attentiion, it's not easy to appreciate anything other than the Vuelta at the moment, is it. But it's a race that has its own perks, just as the GP Plouay has, last Sunday. A nice side dish, for me at least. Sunday's stage shoukd be good, finish at the Muur.
