That piece is a great example of the NY Times political desk actively trying to make its readers dumber and less well-informed.

It is, in fact, pretty simple that the wealthy guy who spouts fascist and eugenicist rhetoric, constantly, and owns a massive media platform which constantly advantages fascists while disadvantaging the groups they target, is actually just a fascist.
