Most of the time, dinosaurs are discovered when their bones are eroding out of the rock. The armored dinosaur Animantarx was found another way. A radiological survey in Utah inadvertently detected the dinosaur below the surface, the bones having taken up radioactive minerals during fossilization. 🧪
