Those ‘Home Applications’ say everything about this era being peak PC identity-crisis… Are we an entertainment machine? Are we a work machine?
Computer games have obviously become infinitely more sophisticated since, but I suspect there isn't one of them now that would waste as many of my hours as did Boulderdash and Thing-on-a-Spring.

SAVE NEW YORK was the first semi-cooperative two player game I ever played. Never quite sure if I was *supposed* to be shooting at my sister or not, but the C64 version had unusually snappy controls that kept us coming back. Probably loaded it up more than any other game.

Would play TF out of TrashMan. I had a C64 then an apple 2c growing up. I used to enjoy the text based adventures
We had a Commodore 64! My parents had that thing for what seemed like forever!
