Sid Meier's Civilization (1993)

I found a bug in the VGA driver for NT 3.1 with this game, which totally justified me bringing in random games to play on Friday afternoons for the rest of the year.

I lost hours to this game. Start a quick game at 20:00 and find yourself going to bed at 05:00. Just one more turn...

it's really impressive how accessible this game is compared to turn-based strategies of the time you have in-game help on everything
