Welcome!!! It's slow growing, but hey!
Nice! We tried further n but alas we're clouded out.
In "gatherings of greatness" we forget we are all just humans, and humility creeps in... it's important to share these universal vulnerabilities. Thanks Neil! 🚀👽🌻
My kiddo found one in our garden one day. We named it Jesus 😁
You imply that because we are artists that we aren't ALSO programmers, geeks, tech innovators... you do know that they aren't mutually exclusive don't you? Our responses are based on knowledge just as you claim yours are on thoughtfulness to our concerns.
Many works are inspired by a feeling, event, & simply pour out of us without thought or contrived style. They are images, music & words that force their way out in their own style uncontrolled even by the hands/minds from which they escape. We search for patterns after the fact & name them "style".
The existence of a question does not mean there is a corresponding answer.
You conflate reproduction with creation. Some artists (tattoo, TikTok, cover bands...) do both or only reproduce. But reproduction and creation are nonetheless completely different.
"Virtually all art going back...has built upon previous artists work..." clearly you don't go to enough art shows. Artists break new ground constantly. That's just your own short sightedness. We are inspired by intangibles, forms... even visual art inspired by music is different by each artist.
People are concerned about AI for many reasons. But don't conflate them as they're root fears are different, though equally valued. Stealing content. Losing jobs. Inaccuracy creating MORE false information. Skimming. There are many good reasons we should be regulating some uses of AI.
