That’s why when you make the switch to electric, you should tell your friends, neighbors, and community members about it. Why you did it, how you did it, and how you’re feeling about it now.
Electric household appliances like heat pumps, induction stoves, and heat pump water heaters are energy-efficient, clean, and cost-saving. They make homes more comfortable. They make homes safer. They make homes better.
These are great numbers, but they’re not shocking to us. Why? Because Americans know that electric is better.
- Rural residents (54%) are somewhat less likely than suburban (61%) and urban (65%) residents to prefer all or mostly electric homes.
- Black respondents (69%) are more likely than Hispanic/Latino (59%) and White respondents (58%) to prefer all or mostly electric homes.
A few highlights from the data: - Political affiliation is associated with preferences for electric appliances, but even 50% of conservative Republicans said they’d like an all or mostly electric home!
