I expunged it in 1999. Have only run Linux at home since then. Clunky in the old days but very smooth nowadays. Horrible when I have to go back to Microsoft.

We have to use it for compatibility. I think MS used to deliver a good compromise between underlying tech and user-friendliness. I’ve defended them for years and think ca. 1995-2015 they provided pretty good products for most users. But since then it’s gone downhill.
