Labour Party local branch in Shipley (Yorkshire) tonight unanimously approved a motion calling on the Labour government to rejoin the EU’s single market and customs union, to reduce the £40bn a year of lost tax revenue caused by Brexit.
But .. after the way the UK behaved during Brexit - does the EU actually trust you all enough now to even want you back?
What? Don’t these people know they’re in the Red Wall, and therefore must vehemently oppose even a hint of rapprochement with the EU?

I want lots and lots ond lots of these sorts of votes to be brought to the LP conference. After all, if brexit meant brexit, then "change" must surely mean change!

It's not in the UK gift is it? We can apply but the EU will say no until politics here is less volatile and it is clear that the country will accept the less favourable terms on which we will be allowed to join.
