You can track the decline of any company or service with nearly 100% accuracy from the day they're acquired by a venture capital firm. Like, always. Anything you like, if venture capital or a hedge fund gets it, enjoy it while you can.

I understand your comment is in a different context, but in the early days of my print business “marketing experts” kept pushing the message- Growth is good! There is a cost to growth and we resisted. Grew slowly, organically, and with no debt. Pandemic hits, we survive, and others fail.

This frustrates me and I see it everywhere! The target for every biz can't be eternal revenue growth without eternal price increases, or, an ever expanding market. This is why Taco Bell has to serve breakfast. Gotta maximize that real estate cost.
