an important reminder that you are not required to engage with the people loudly yelling at you in replies and quote posts if doing so will make you feel like garbage
Unless it's the good kind of garbage, like a huge pile of old Beanie Babies, or discarded cushions with heartfelt messages crocheted into them.
It helps me when I remind myself that replying to folks posting in bad faith or who are unhinged only boosts them, and gives them more life.
That's twitter nonsense and it needs to die alongside that dumpster fire.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff going on now that I'm Pretty Damn Mad About, Actually, but I know that getting into it here won't accomplish anything beyond making me even more mad and I just don't have energy to spend on that
big if true
OH SO YOU'RE SAYING NO ONE CAN CRITICIZE YOU? /j
The best part of blocking people yelling at you in quote posts is it breaks the QP and no one can see what they're yelling about and I think that's beautiful
"for was it not written: blocked. blocked. blocked. you're all blocked. none of you are free of sin"
Wait did I stumble back onto The Other Place?
I try to be nice. I don't always do a good job of it. Or someone may simply misread it no matter how carefully I thought about what I was writing. Either way everyone has to manage their own feed how they see fit, so if they need to block me to cleanse their space, that's fine! Early and often.
