Micah - Absolutely! Role models are an essential life component for every child. We can't let "right wing" massaging take over that role if we want a safe/sane/healthy society. The choices we make (& the people we elevate) have real long-term consequences.

And there's a silent understood shame that if white people "lose" their status then it's that white generation's fault... and a bunch of mid white people don't want to be known as the generation that fumbled the bag.
