There is not privilege in living a life that is not yours. There's a difference between dealing with the bullshit of daily life, and living as someone who isn't *you*. Death isn't just biological, it's social, cultural, existential. Being unable to live as yourself is cruel

You get it. I'm one of the people who did more or less move through the world as a hetero white man pre-transition. But that was through a combination of luck (a lot the odd things about me read "~autistic ~genius", not "tranny") and cutting off/suppressing chunks of my self to not arouse suspicion.

If we want to define privilege as getting to stay alive, we have to define it as strictly biologically then. As a cishet white guy, it just is extremely deflating to see getting to not be biologically dead be called privilege. It's not lost on me that I never am the target.
