Can change and continuity enquiries become similarity and difference ones by mistake? Or can they be both do you think? I feel I've made one which is both but I'm not sure if that works or if they are siblings of sort in the disciplinary sphere. 🤔 #historyteacher

I think this question is the basis of an article by Dominik Palek a few years back.

It definitely helps tremendously that edexcel use the terms almost interchangeably at GCSE.

Depending on the scope of time period being explored I think it is possible for change & continuity and sim/different elements to run concurrently but that is quite difficult for pupils to handle without it becoming a bit of smush. This is where EQ really matters to bring clarity to the focus. 🤔
