Another diverse month in the books. Missing as always are the trivia and party games I'm usually too tired to track. 🎉 #boardgames

More power to those who do it, but I can't imagine spending as much as the game itself(or more) for deluxe components/fancy inserts. Unless it's a game I REALLY enjoy.

I've had booths at several art cons and have seen original artists ignored in favor of groups with prints that are literally shots from Marvel movies with a PS filter slapped on. I feel like AI is the next evolution of that. People with no desire to actually create, but found a grift/profit shortcut

I've always wanted to learn Backgammon and get to know it as something other than "the game on the other side of the checkers board".

Oddly, the first modern game I purchased was Police Precinct after seeing a Rhado playthrough. I no longer play it for several reason and likely never will again. However it remains on my shelf as a sentimental keepsake of the first(-ish) modern game my wife and I played.

I definitely see where the comparisons come from, but once you play it's like night and day. You have to approach it from a totally different way of thinking, which is what I love about it!

Outfoxed is a "Guess Who-ish" type cooperative game where you gather clues to eliminate suspects. Double Shutter is a really simple, classic game. Roll dice, flip pieces showing those numbers/combination of the two. Super quick and straight forward and kids always seem to love it.

I love The Hunger and rarely see it mentioned. I know it gets flack for being "Clank with Vampires", but it's really completely different.

Actually playing the games! Game nights usually end up being 40% playing games, 60% waiting for people to get off the phone, get back from a smoke break, etc...
