The riot of advertising along the approaches to our towns will have to be controlled into some or-der, and the citizen must to some extent be protected. Violent advertisement is a form of assault which seeks to gain attention by slapping you in the face.

Maine made billboards illegal a long time ago. The only ones allowed now are ones on a business’s own property promoting that business.
