Really sorry for your loss. I lost a friend in my early 20s and if it helps at all I'm not at the point where it makes me happy to remember them whilst still being sad that they're gone

Lost a best friend in 2020, it's super rough. Obviously the first weeks are the worst, but they don't stop 'visiting' you, with a mix of both grief and happiness.
