Read # 76 of 2024 In Crypt of the Moon Spider, by Nathan Ballingrud, experimental surgeries are performed at a lunar sanitarium. It’s a creepy novella that will skitter up your neck and slip behind your eyes, continuing until it burrows into the soft gray folds of your mind. 5/5

Nice! I love the Diablo games but haven’t really touched the last one since playing through the campaign when it came out. I’m tempted to get the expansion but I’ll prob wait and hope for a sale over the holidays. These days, for the most part, I’m playing games for the mechanics as well.

Playing the new expansion? Does it seem worth the price of admission?

Read #75 of 2024 With Kill Your Darling, grief maestro Clay McLeod Chapman is at it again. Glenn’s son was brutally murdered 40 years ago in a crime that remains unsolved. He still desperately seeks answers and revenge. It’s a brutal, wicked meditation on grief, memory, and identity.

Read # 74 of 2024 Deadly Seven by G. Allen Wilbanks The seven deadly sins, personified as human-cloaked demons, are lagging behind their evil brethren in the collection of souls and their boss isn’t happy. I enjoyed the wry sense of humor in this fun, creative, quick read.

Read #73 of 2024 The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams is a magnificent, lavishly detailed epic fantasy. For no real reason, it has sat on my shelf unread for over three decades. I’m very glad I finally got around to it. It’s immensely satisfying. Can’t wait to continue to saga!
