That's what I like about Blake's 7. I was never a fan of goodies as a kid. Always preferred a bandit. All the characters were shifty. There weren't no goodies or baddies.

It's funny how sticking it to the man was a thing all the way back to the 13th century and Robin Hood.

Paul Darrow, Stephen Grief and Gareth Thomas are all totally on board with the project as a very serious study of extreme characters in tragic situations, and this isn't Star Wars, this is Star Wars if Alec Guinness had played the whole thing like he was doing Lear at the Old Vic.
