I'd love to see how dedicated to "finality" and expediency death penalty advocates would be if they were the ones charged or convicted of a crime they didn't commit. Somehow I think they wouldn't be so blasé if they were the "someone" in the "Well SOMEONE has to pay!"

It’s appalling, but not surprising, how some people are able to compartmentalize things they view as “other people’s problems”.
