Beauties! One of these big blocks was damaged during milling, so it is filled in with yellow epoxy. One often doesn't realise but to break rocks, you first need looooots of sample prep...

An awesome snow cover on the way, AND topography! My geologist heart loves it! The flat and wet Dutchlands have their advantages as home base, but snow and mountains are definitely lacking!

Today and yesterday the theme is roadtrip! From Delft to IfG in Leipzig to pick up perfect cubes of rocksalt for our true triax for an #EPOSnl project in February

This the entrance to our laboratory. We added the stickers to the glass partition a few months ago, to showcase the relevance of the work that we do. Still makes me smile every time I walk past ☺️
