My conclusion is that it's too bogged down by misinterpretations of queer people to be saying what you're saying he's saying. In the 14 years since the game came out this stuff hasn't reappeared in any of the DR sequels and I'm sure I'd have heard about it in Rain Code by now.

it comes back in the final chapter of 2, it comes back worse than ever in the third person shooter spinoff, and ive been told it's also in that other spinoff game for the switch (idk what the specifics are, just that its still as bad as ever)
