Been basically my thoughts. It's got way too much heart and charm to it for me to dislike it, and that gives it a HUGE leg up on the Wild era, but the Echo approach to puzzles and ESPECIALLY combat just doesn't hit the same. I question a lot of the writing decisions, too.
