To be clear, TX law doesn’t help. In a post-Dobbs world, the workarounds previously used to dodge the problems no longer exist in many states. That’s less of an issue in CA, but mergers and the consolidation of hospitals under ever-growing systems is a problem.

Yes, thanks, I just meant to comment on the similarities of the regimes, not say that the heartbeat act was driving this in a casual sense.
