Aaah! See!
We are starting a Julia User Group Trondheim! discourse.julialang.org/t/julia-user... We will start our first meeting with Lightning Talks.
Yesterday we had the first User Group Meeting in Trondheim, thanks for everyone who participated – it was great! We discussed two points for next – and hopefully regular meetings To find a room at...
For the spacial domains one could actually add dimensions to the axes? In UMAP I would maybe then _not_ do axis but just write UMAP? Otherwise add the axis of the current representation though invariant to others, you probably chose one to plot.
but for presentation you probably chose some? Do you have an example of a plot?
The answer for that is from the 1960s, and involves distances - but also those we first have to properly define on a sphere, since we can’t just use a ruler like on paper.
Yay! Riemannian manifolds are already a bit old (160 yrs); they are more general than just the sphere. I for example work on numerics (“math with computers”) involving them. For example: given a set of points on the sphere (like all European capitals); what is a good definition of their mean?
