Sorta. Emulation is only half of a solution for game preservation compared to full support/re-releases from the property owner.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, how there are now tons of games that are 20+ years old and play (mostly) well. The PS2's library has aged gracefully.

I don't know if the original Devil May Cry befits a remake. It has exceptional atmosphere that could look amazing with modern graphics, but the writing, gameplay and voice acting are more so products of their time.
