Was mentioning this conversation to someone this morning. They reminded me that their nephew's name is spelt A-r, pronounced Adashar. I'll bet he has trouble with getting computer systems to recognise that spelling - poor kid.

A friend was named Bertha Brik. She was hounded almost to suicide as a teen because of her name + being quite overweight. Eventually found out she could change her name legally. Doing so coincided with a basically new life.
