As a trans person who does make pornography, I'm extremely angry about this. I'm really hoping my fellow trans folks don't fall into the argument of "it's okay to ban porn so long as trans people aren't classified as pornographers."

Wild how those bastards are legit pulling a fash and we just have to take it like it's normal.

I have had to beg my fellow queers in the past to not support porn bans only to have them argue that it is okay to ban all porn that is kink and fetish but it is never okay to treat us LGBTQ+ as porn, leading myself to my hair falling out from the stress of seeing how brain rotten their thinking is.

To be clear, this comic is not trying to say that porn bans are good except for when trans people are labeled as inherently pornographic. But it's a sentiment I've unfortunately seen around by other trans folks too many times. I know @zoewithasword.bsky.social is on my side with this!

It's hard for me to even wrap my brain around this. 😭

I wish more people understood the link between crap like KOSA and the attacks on trans folks (also other queer folks but trans people have definitely been the focus). It’s why the antis keep trying to push the idea that being trans is a sexual perversion (AGP, etc). Call it deviant, then ban it.

The sort of folks spearheading this stuff already classify anything they don’t like “pornography” even if it has nothing to do with sex at all. They called Ryan Estrada’s Banned Book Club “pornography” for criticizing censorship under a dictatorship. It’s just a slur, a distraction tactic.

Reminds me of that person a week or two who was absolutely CONVINCED that if a law is phrased vaguely it becomes "unenforceable" Like y'all can't afford to be this gullible this late in the game.
