There was more to this too. It was fheing the month they were giving out a free dlc when you log in for 30 days. They sold part of the company to a Chinese Company and the change got certain areas of the USA banned. It took them almost 4 months to unbann everyone and fix it.
My wife @rosensilks.bsky.social and I were into ESO, but we had an issue where the game couldn't update and their helpdesk told us it was our ISP. When in reality, they had a file missing from their launcher, that they refused to give us. So we said the heck with it and tried XIV. Rest is history.
