It’s so weird and insanely car-centric that the UK doesn’t have these as standard on junctions and roundabouts. Having to cross the street without a zebra crossing almost never happens to me either in Oslo, or Toulouse, where I used to live. I grew up with it, but it feels crazy dangerous now.
