In the fourth picture, what's up with the top layer of steam pipes being thicker than the rest of them? They seem double-thick compared to all the ones below them; some kind of reinforcement for separating that segment from the upper region or something?

Those bigger tubes are for the superheated units whilst the smaller ones are for the drafting the smoke from the fire box and out up the smoke stack
