I just discovered that you can cut up apple slices and sprinkle cinnamon on them and microwave them for 45 seconds and it tastes basically like apple pie without the crust and it's not even illegal. I can do this whenever I want. I have become too powerful.

My mom used to do this... she would cut out the core then put cinnamon and honey in the middle and zap it until it was soft. I should get the instructions from her. (It's hard to call it a "recipe" if it uses a microwave)

I feel that way about baking Japanese sweet potatoes in foil, chilling them, then slicing them up to fry for breakfast! I add a bit of cardamom and it tastes like French Toast

My mom used to make what she called "apple bites" where she would just cut an apple into rings, sprinkle them with cinnamon, sugar and a tiny little nutmeg, broil them for a couple minutes so the sugar caramelizes (keep an eye on them) and serve them hot. Great topping on vanilla ice cream too!

ok but why where you microwaving apples

JUST Cinnamon, or Cinnamon Sugar? And does it need to be Granny Smiths, or does this work on any Apple?? I need answers!
