hah so back in 2000 Macmillan was a computer book publisher that decided to go full steam into Linux and sell it's own version of Linux Mandrake. Back then if you weren't in University it was pretty much almost impossible to get linux for free cause...not cause it wasn't offered just it was hard.

We were still on dial up and the only way to get an iso working was if you had a CD-R drive which were still very expensive at the time. so the only solution was to go to a store and BUY Linux. commonly Linux Mandrake or Coral.
