I did manage to take exactly one pre-hat-amputation picture of Skrem, but it was taken in hurry while actively recording the RPGBOT.Podcast, and it truly does not do the miniature justice.
I would dump 2014 champion in favor of something more impactful. Totem barbarian and samurai fighter would both work.
5-person party? Champion Fighter and Thief Rogue are great choices in the 2024 rules. Life Cleric is going to be much simpler than a Bard, and they'll bring a ton of durability. Probably Warlock and Hunter Ranger for your 4th and 5th.
With the timeline to crowdfund, write, print, and ship a source book, basically anyone who crowdfunded in 2023 hit a difficult window. I'm expecting it will take 2-ish years for the community to move to the 2024 rules, but don't take my word for it.
*maybe*. I’ll likely cover a couple subclasses to gauge interest. Full class handbooks are pretty labor-intensive, so I need to make sure people will read it before I put in the time.
I post everything here except the live-tweets for my weekly game. You won’t miss any site/podcast content!
Absolutely, yes. But even that is a pretty finite resource pool.
One of the RPGBOT team pointed out that their bite now makes the target prone without a save, which is definitely a buff. Still... CR 1 with 22 hp?
As a native of 3rd edition, I, too, hate how 5e handles diagonals.
