Our boiler systems integration software was remotely accessed by a dail up modem. Thing must have had a decade of uptime.

Coincidentally this is testing software to connect to among other possible things, a boiler controller connected via RS-232 to a dial-up modem - probably sold circa 1995-1996 (and if power has never been interrupted, it's probably never seen a reset)
