11: Demons Roots It's a depraved porn game full of some of the vilest shit I've seen in a game, yet it is also an amazing story about love and friendship. It's a game I can't comfortably recommend to people because of how depraved it is, but if you can stomach its content it's well worth your time.

10: Treasure of the Rudras This game is janky to be sure, but under all the jank is one of the most unique and ambitious RPGs I've ever played. I wish Square had made this game a successor of some kind that takes its magic system and refines it further, because it has an incredible concept.

9; Terranigma This is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt games I've ever played. There is so much to love about Terranigma that I can't possibly contain it all in one tweet, but it is a game full of so much soul that I was in love with from the very first second.

8: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twie What a lot of people might not know about this game is that it's basically Shinobido 3. It has so many mechanics similar to Shinobido (especially Shinobido 2) that I refuse to believe it wasn't a huge influence for Sekiro.

6: Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven It refines the first two Tenchu games' style to near perfection and also has a banger multiplayer mode that I've spent countless hours on. A shame the series fell off hard after WoH and we never got another Tenchu game of such quality (but we did get Shinobido)

5: Onimusha Warlords I like the whole series a lot but the first game is really special with its Resident Evil influence, and I think it's a real shame we never got another Onimusha game in the first game's style to refine its ideas.

4: 428: Shibuya Scramble For years I only knew this as "the weird live action game Famitsu gave 40/40" but once the game finally got localised after 10 years and I got to play it myself, I understood why it received a perfect score even back when Famitsu wasn't handing those scores out like candy.
