Some odder than usual moments hit my life just after Dad died September 2015, as was proper. During September 2016, I read Jerusalem, by Alan Moore. More and more strange dreams and coincidences happened as I made my way through the 3 books. Dad wasn't a reader, but he followed me in.

Not super okay, to be honest. The death of a long COVID patient at the hands of a system that has weaponized apathy is already infuriating and unfair. The fact that it happened exactly as Tinu told us it would, the fact that it happened to an advocate like her… Ableism kills. She deserved better.

My heart cannot handle how consistently the disability community loses our most powerful voices to situations that amount to "they simply couldn't come up with the money to keep living." This fucking country is a systemically ableist eugenics factory backed by the Healthcare system and the US govt.

@tinu.bsky.social and I had talked at one point about pitching a presentation to a cancer organization to talk about financial toxicity and race and disability justice. It never happened but my heart sends her on her way home with deep appreciation and respect.

It's a good-looking movie, and it makes those good-looking people look even more good-looking. I hope so many more people make time for this film, because it deserves that attention.
