Seems to me the problem is lack of imagination. I would never stop thinking of cool things to do, places to go, things to read/watch/play/explore.

I can't think of a way to "earn" billions that doesn't involve hurting a lot of people. For billionaires, it's so far beyond actually living in comfort or helping people, and well into high score addiction, hubris and manipulation territory.
