It would take me so long to write this out - and I’m too high, which is more the reason - but it’s basically an excerpt from Graeber’s Bullshit Jobs saying that there’s actually no natural reason whatsoever for us to be living like this, working on nonsense, just to be able to keep a roof over our head. It’s an insane and entirely temporary system that we have chosen for ourselves, and we could just as well un-choose it.
