I expect the only people to be unenthusiastic about this are those who are planning to spread falsehoods
I'm luke warm about it - teaching critical thinking and media literacy is important - but worry the implementation will be half-arsed, or biased (e.g. focused on Islamist extremism & ignores neo-Nazis). Also puts the onus to moderate on children & all of us, rather than the platforms & publishers.
I expect the only people who would think that it is impossible for something like this to cause harm are those who assume that the establishment is always correct and dissent is always wrong.
"If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear".
Or people that have seen Labour MPs report people to the police for making death threats because they Tweeted “get in the sea” at them.
