Fun fact: all us Gen X illustrators once got steady gigs at magazines or newspapers that are no longer published, and we all miss it terribly. (RIP Wizard/ToyFare/InQuest)

(Sigh) My first paid writing acceptance was at InQuest. Pay for a short story was 10 cents per word in 1996 -- freaking incredible. I do miss that mag.

Dang I forgot about InQuest.
