Sadly... that is how plausible deniability works.
A lot of them will decide it actually was what they wanted all along. They’ll go along with the violence and bigotry. Until Truth and Reconciliation, of course. THEN they’ll say they were against it all along.
No, they will say things like "why are the Democrats doing these horrible things" because they are all misinformed halfwits.
There will never be a time where they realize their mistake. They will continue to blame every ill on the Dems/gays/transgenders/immigrants/mainstream media and figure the violence just proves they were always right.
big Brexit voter vibes.
"wait, I'm being kicked off my health insurance? why didn't someone tell me this was going to happen?""wait, I'm being kicked off my health insurance? why didn't someone tell me this was going to happen?"
I think an awful lot of people don't have the stomach for real violence and think, if it happens, it'll be somewhere else. And it'll actually be the family they like down the street who they don't want flashbangs thrown at. They'll be horrified and it'll be too late.
Leopards, etc
And millions of people will go, yeah, that’s exactly what I was counting for!
Eh. They won't remember what they thought two years before or have any sense that they themselves made a mistake. It'll all just go back to having nothing to do with them.
