Sonic and Zelda make it look easy but I bet in real life it's a lot harder to inhale oxygen from large underwater bubbles when you're seconds away from drowning. there's probably like a trick to it or something
I can actually confirm it's way harder than it looks. I once took an air bubble to the bottom of a pool with a shirt. I then tried inhaling through the shirt and while it was possible it definitely wasn't easy. And that was only a few feet underwater and not dozens like in Labyrinth Zone
The trick is they have overwhelming, constant PTSD and every moment of living for them is agony. Link can’t even speak anymore.
Its recommended for beginners to use a straw to assist with taking the air out of the bubble.
mario makes it look easy but i bet its not that easy to refill ur lungs by collecting a golden coin
just thinking about the sonic running out of air audio is making my heart rate spike and my palms sweaty
The probablem is that air bubbles don't really stay in one large pocket, they get broken up and a fair amount gets dissolved. Maybe with some kind of extra physical or chemical alteration it's possible but add a human to the mix and it'll get unstable or toxic respectively.
I swore I could do this a little kid, and then I told an adult and I never could again
There's actually a mythbusters episoder where they tested this, and if there is a trick to it, they weren't able to find it.
Also sewer surfing is not a radical way to get your pizzas home unless you like them soggy.
