Capping property tax for 2 decades also comes at the cost of essential services, and shifts the tax burden more toward renters. Since my building doesn't qualify to be capped, taxes on the property have increased and been passed on to tenants in the form of rent increases. But enjoy your home.

The CAP program is provincial. NSFM tried to get the province to replace it with targeted supports but no buy in at all.
