I don't hate BA but it could probably be better; more just in the sense of tweaking to make things like terrain and attack/defense matchups more important though tbh, especially in the early game. It's acceptably "okay" though
However also: most gatchage yearn to be visual novels
gatchage are Fine and unfairly maligned as some sort of unique evil (and in an Orientalist way frankly) Emblematic of the gambling industry, but not really meaningfully worse than any other part of it
