Preparing a seminar session on questionable research practices and why to avoid them for my psychology Master students. I'm sure that there are tons of good papers and resources so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. Please share and post your favourites! #OpenScience#AcademicSky

Over the last few years, I have been reflecting a lot about my mentorship qualities, so much so that I made a slidedeck to be fully transparent to future mentees. In case it's helpful to others, and not just more evidence of how neurotic I am, here it is! osf.io/dk9wv

Academic Bsky ❗️Need your expertise on a tricky situation! 👀 Recently, I stumbled upon the Leopoldina Postdoc Fellowship (leopoldina.org/en/funding/leo…), but hit a roadblock. The fellowship specifies German, Austrian, or Swiss nationality as a "requirement". 1/n

Was curious to see if ChatGPT is still having a breakdown so I asked it some anatomy and it has just generated rubbish as usual. This stuff is going to pollute the internet shortly. We should lock down Wikipedia while it is still unsullied, and conclude that human knowledge curation has peaked ☹️

Picture of ChatGPT saying "Yes, CA1, a subfield of the hippocampus, also contributes to the projections to the anterior thalamus. The connections between CA1, subiculum, and entorhinal cortex play a crucial role in the hippocampal-prefrontal-ventral striatal circuit involved in memory and spatial processing" which is just made-up rubbish using the right words in meaningless arrangement

It's out! 🤩 New paper led by my brilliant PhD student Christoph Löffler, in which we show that individual differences in executive functions (updating, inhibition, shifting) measure nothing but individual differences in the speed of information processing: doi.org/10.1007/s004...
