The bottom line is that resuming explosive nuclear weapons testing is unnecessary and dangerous. It would risk the safety of Americans and undermine U.S. national security

If the U.S. resumes nuclear testing it would likely escalate the nuclear arms race, increase the risk of nuclear catastrophe, and weaken national security.

“As someone who was charged with certifying the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear arsenal, I can tell Nevadans that there is no scientific or technical need to resume nuclear testing,” @ErnestMoniz stated.

A Nevadans Against Nuclear Testing poll found 73% of Nevada voters oppose any resumption of explosive nuclear testing, and similar research shows most Americans agree.
