Nobuhiro Watsuki was convicted of possession of child pornography and it destroyed the series forever in my eyes.
I was so nervous writing this piece because it is important, but it was also why I wanted to do it. One of our editors didn't know, and why would he? He doesn't cover anime. Doesn't watch it. So it makes sense! The fact that he found out and noped out of covering it is why I work them.
A lot of people are usually silent or very scathing about it
This was the one big Shonen Jump show that I fell for, and I agree. I'm not plugged in enough to know if forum chuds frequently flame back with, "hey, he's done serving his punishment according to Japan's legal system," but personally I can't shake how gross the crime is.
When I first heard this it hit me hard. The original anime was one of my favorites.
