Of course it can work out it’s worth £8k and you owe £10k in which case they can add the £2k to the next pcp agreement.
Really comes down to your end goal. PCP is a deposit and monthly payments. At the end of the term you can pay the remaining balance on the car in full / refinance and keep the car or trade it in. If the car is worth £10k at that point and your balance is £8k you get £2k towards another car.
