Havenā€™t seen the doc yet but definitely will, lots of good memories triggered by music from that era

Should be a legal requirement for all govt ministers šŸ˜‚

I think that is a reasonable argument. The response will be - go hybrid, but the cost of a hybrid registration is not low enough to deal with the very limited value it offers, at least in my limited experience

Thanks for sharing but I think that raises more questions than it answers. There is a degree of lip service insincerity to these measures that undermines them.

Good grief, not really sure how the AAG can justify the inflation of the annual conference registrationā€¦ I thought it was a typo at first #geosky

Reading this Research Fortnight debrief on the Kyle-Vallance panel at the Labour conf and been struck by this passage. I do worry that this govt will drift easily into techno-authoritarianism and shallow surveillance theatre www.researchprofessionalnews.com/rr-news-uk-p...

"So in the green mission it might be sorething around how you get hydrogen storage at scale; for safer streets it might be something on how you think about the most targeted and accurate way to identify when knife-use is occurring, and what the drivers of that are.
I am making those up, but the mission boards can define that problem, and we then need to be agile to say if that's the problem then here's the fund [for] companies, academia, charities. to try and answer that question or accelerate that technology in a timeframe relevant to the mission."
